Best Vacation Spots: Gulf Coast

In our most recent blogs, we have been talking about some of our favorite summer vacation locations that are right here in the U.S. So far, we have covered the West Coast, as well as the East Coast. Next we are going to move onto the Gulf Coast and introduce you to some of our favorite southern coastal vacation spots.

Marco Island

Located on Paradise Coast, just south of Naples, Marco Island is one of Florida’s most popular tropical islands and one of our favorite places to vacation during the summer. Whether you want to look for seashells while you are strolling along the beach or if you are feeling adventurous and want to spend the day out on the ocean, there is no shortage of adventure and relaxation to be had on Marco Island.

Florida Keys

The Florida Keys are a chain of coral islands located off of the coast of Southern Florida. With a rich history and plenty of exciting activities to do, there is no way we couldn't add the Florida Keys to our list. Of course you could always spend time on the beach, but you could also spend a day at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park or the Dry Tortugas National Park or you could always venture down to the southernmost point of the continental U.S.

Fort Myers Beach

Located just north of Marco Island on Florida’s West Coast, Fort Myers Beach has its own set of gorgeous beaches and other attractions that have earned it a spot on our list of favorite vacation spots. From parasailing to bird watching on the neighboring Sanibel Island, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy while you’re not catching some rays on the beach or by the pool.
